Clare Valley lunch – Women in Business Regional Network – Wed 22/9/2021
September 22 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm ACST
Women in Business Regional Network lunch – Clare Valley – Wednesday, September 22
Our next Women in Business Regional Network Clare Valley event will be one with a difference. Local visual artist and businesswoman Meg Mader of The Journey Studio will host a pre-lunch ‘Paint & Plonk’ workshop followed by our regular lunch where Meg will then talk about her business journey, how the pandemic has affected her business and as a bonus, she will talk us through how she uses Linktree to manage her marketing.
Meg is a visual artist from the Clare Valley providing art sales, art kits, commissions and events and has been running her business, The Journey Studio, since 2013. Vibrant and fun is how she would describe her artworks. They usually depict animals as Meg enjoys painting their eyes and expressions. She also likes to experiment with florals and portraits. As with any other product, Meg takes pride in using only premium quality materials when creating to ensure her artworks are of an archival quality. In 2017 Meg added Paint and Plonk events and workshops to her business.
At the workshop Meg will lead us through the creativity process – there is no need to be an artist – just be ready for some fun, laughs and surprise yourself with a wonderful artwork to take home through step by step instructions and guidance.
The workshop is only available to lunch attendees, and you will need to register at checkout for the painting workshop. Once you are registered for the workshop, you will be sent a link to book and pay for the workshop separately as Meg needs to know how much she needs to bring by way of materials.
The workshop commences at 11.30am and is immediately followed by the lunch which starts as usual at 12.30pm. You do not need to attend the “Paint and Plonk” workshop to attend the lunch.
Convenor of the Clare Chapter of the Women in Business Regional Network is local Network member Nan Berrett.
The function is open to all women in business – members and non-members, those who manage, own or work in a business or those who think they’d like to be in business. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive. You’re encouraged to also bring a friend along too who might also have interests in this area. Come along and find out more about the opportunities it presents for you.
Please note: When booking you need to scroll past the payment button to ensure all details are completed before going through the pay portal. The payment button will stayed grayed out until all details have been entered.
NB: The ticket price is a booking fee only. You will need to purchase your own food and drinks and you will need to indicate if you wish to attend the “Paint and Plonk Event” which will be an extra $20 charge.
