Women in Business Regional Network dinner- Port Pirie – Tuesday 1 June – 5.30pm
Branding for small businesses and startups
What is Branding? Why do you need it? Where do you start?
Branding – it can be a huge exercise, involving applying design and marketing expertise to every layer of the public face of your business. But for those starting lean and keen, you need to know the basics – what’s essential, and what’s nice to have; what to do now, and what to roll out later and what you can DIY – and when it’s best to call in the professionals.
Demelza Thorpe, freelance graphic designer, will take us through her step-by-step guide to branding for small businesses and startups at our Port Pirie dinner at the Motel Travelway. Demi’s Adelaide Hills based business Powdermonkey Design, is all about creative for the people which means making personalised, bespoke graphic design accessible for start ups, small business and regular folk.
The presentation will also explain some of the jargon and solve some of the great mysteries plaguing small business owners – like what on earth is the difference between hosting and a domain name?
The function is open to all women in business – members and non-members, those who manage, own or work in a business or those who think they’d like to be in business.
The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive. You’re encouraged to also bring a friend along too who might also have interests in this area. Come along and find out more about the opportunities it presents for you.
NB: The ticket price is a booking fee only. You will need to purchase your own food and drinks.
