Women in Business lunch – Victor Harbor – Thursday 29 April – Middleton Tavern
Branding for small businesses and startups
Branding can be a huge exercise, involving applying design and marketing expertise to every layer of the public face of your business. But for those starting lean and keen, you need to know what’s essential, and what’s nice to have. What to do now, and what to roll out later. What you can DIY – and when it’s best to call in the professionals.
Demelza Thorpe is a freelance graphic designer based in the Adelaide Hills. Her business, Powdermonkey Design is all about creative for the people. That means making personalised, bespoke graphic design accessible for start ups, small business and regular folk.
At today’s lunch at the Middleton Tavern, Demelza will take you through her step-by-step guide to branding for small businesses & startups.
The presentation will also explain some of the jargon and solve some of the great mysteries plaguing small business owners – like what on earth is the difference between hosting and a domain name?
The function is open to all women in business – members and non-members, those who manage, own or work in a business or those who think they’d like to be in business.
The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive. You’re encouraged to also bring a friend along too who might also have interests in this area. Come along and find out more about the opportunities it presents for you.
NB: The ticket price is a booking fee only. You will need to purchase your own food and drinks.
