Women in Business Regional Network Online dinner – Wednesday, March 16 – Via Zoom
“How to network like a boss – making the most of your networking”
Networking – There is so much more to it than just attending an event, handing out your business cards and crossing your fingers hoping for the best!
Great networking can turn the connections you make into your best customers, advocates, and brand ambassadors but you need to know how to network like a boss!
Join us for our online dinner when member Nan Berrett shows us how we can create business success by including networking into our plans for growth.
Nan will look at how to create a 1-minute elevator pitch, business catch phrase/slogan, best ideas for business cards, email sign-offs and more including how to network when attending an online event!
Nan is based in the Clare Valley, and has clients all over the place. She is passionate about supporting business start-ups, as well as those who have been running their enterprise for a while but are keen to scale up. Her presentation has been very well received at other chapters, as she shared tactics to help make the most of any networking opportunities, including how to network successfully during a pandemic by using online tools and tips.
A mentor through the Office of the Chief Entrepreneur’s FIXE program, Nan is also a workshop presenter and mentor through the Australian Small Business Advisory Service Digital Solutions Program. An award-winning former journalist, Nan now provides the business support for most aspects of small business marketing and development, including mentoring. She has grown her business, Word Solutions, over the past 9 years almost exclusively through networking.
At our online functions we aim to get the feel of our usual physical functions so, where possible, you will have the chance to introduce yourself and give a very quick summary of what you do and where you’re from. You’ll be able to ask questions during the function.
On entering the virtual function your microphone will be muted and we ask that you only unmute it when you wish to speak to avoid interference.
You can choose to join us with your video on or off. You will be sent a link to join the event. Our online programs are delivered via the Zoom platform.
5.30pm – Start of session including introductions and presentation
7.00pm – Expected end time
Every effort will be made to assist you to navigate your technology, but no refunds will be provided if you are unable to join the function or if you experience technical difficulties during the session.
