Demi gives lesson in branding at Port Pirie

PORT PIRIE – Port Pirie women in business learned that branding was so much more than a good name and a pretty picture when they met for dinner last week.

The Women in Business Regional Network played host to graphic designer Demelza Thorpe from Powdermonkey Design who challenged those present to delve into their brand, what it represented, and how it should be used for best result.

The session was very interactive with each person asked to do exercises looking at their ideal customer and also even deciding what kind of animal might best represent what their brand was about.

A comprehensive booklet was presented to each person in attendance giving tips on branding, and the opportunity to reflect more deeply on what their business was about.

The next local event for the network will be a dinner on Tuesday, August 3 when Nan Berrett of Word Solutions will be speaking on the topic of how to network like a boss.
