McLaren Vale learns to harness their mindset

Businesswomen from McLaren Vale and the Southern Suburbs were encouraged to change their mindset to achieve success when the Women in Business Regional Network held its latest dinner at Meeting Place, McLaren Vale.

The dinner was addressed by Mount Compass member Cathy Domoney, a mindset mentor, who explained how to clear your mind of negativity to help focus on a life you want.

Cathy, who has clients not only in Australia but also overseas, outlined tips to “clear the sludge” of negative thoughts that may have come from our past or present experiences.

She encouraged those at the dinner to envisage the life they want to lead through using vision boards, writing down intentions and visualising their ideal life.

Setting boundaries in our work and personal life was also encouraged, along with closing off the negative chatter from others.

Cathy is also a counsellor who has built up a reputation for her work with children facing challenges whether personally or through disabilities.

She has recently made the Amazon best seller list and has released a series of four books, the Positive Mindset for Kids series, which takes a different look at issues such as bullying, self-esteem and confidence.

The network will be returning to McLaren Vale for a lunch at Angoves on Wednesday, September 25 when Mount Jagged’s Helen Sampson from Jagged Crow Creative will be conducting a session entitled Digital Marketing 101.

The next dinner will be held at Meeting Place McLaren Vale on Tuesday, October 15 when Graeme Jameson of Fleurieu & Hills Insurance will be speaking about the ins and outs of business insurance.
