Strathalbyn women learn networking

An enthusiastic group of women gathered at Connolly Wilson Conveyancing in Strathalbyn on March 5 to learn more about networking and public speaking, while also meeting other women in business.

Many were pushed out of their comfort zones during role-playing exercises on networking but there were still smiles all round at the end of the night.

The session on overcoming anxiety and the barriers to public speaking was led by foundation member Paquita Scott.

During the evening discussions turned to the future direction of the local Antique Fair and proposed developments and it seemed there was also interest in using the newfound networking skills to work together for more positive outcomes for local business.

The next Strathalbyn function will be a dinner on Monday April 30 at a venue to be advised.  The topic will be taking control of your internet presence – whether or not you have a website.
