Anne Rhodes among council candidates

Network foundation member Anne Rhodes has nominated for the upcoming by election for the Mid Coast Ward in the City of Onkaparinga Council.

Having lived in the Council area for over 30 years, Anne knows the area and local communities well.

She taught at Cardijn College in its early years and later went onto senior management roles in the not for profit sector.

She worked for many years in Government, most notably in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet in the Adelaide Thinkers in Residence Unit.

Anne is now a small business owner who has recently done the ‘COVID pivot’ to create two online businesses:  McLaren Unvaled featuring some of the brands she worked with in her bricks and mortar shop in McLaren Vale, and more recently Unveiling SA … one gift at a time – a business that sources and features exclusively South Australian small producers and artisans.

Anne has also been a long-time supporter of business in McLaren Vale having served on the McLaren Vale Business & Tourism Association. She is the current secretary and a member of the Economic Development Forum.

Voting is by postal ballot. Ballot papers must be completed and returned no later than 12 noon, Monday 7 September 2020.

The position became vacant following the resignation of Councillor Beau Cowan.
