Di Brennan of DCB Insurance in Port Pirie has been named as the first Chapter Convenor for the Women in Business Regional Network.
Network founder Carolyn Jeffrey made the announcement at the recent High Tea at the Comfort Inn Flinders on Main last month.
Di will be responsible for organising all the local events in the Port Pirie area and is keen to welcome more face along to functions which are held every eight weeks.
Events are not only about networking and meeting other women in business, but there is always a learning component, either an inspirational speaker or a presentation giving tips to run your business.
“Di was a natural choice for the role as she has been a champion of the network locally from the beginning having attended a function in Kadina which sparked the formation of the Port Pirie chapter,” Carolyn said.
“Although I’m appointing local convenors, I will still be maintaining connections with our local members through online events and will pop into Port Pirie events from time to time.
“Having local convenors will provide more flexibility with dates, helps to keep money locally and opens up opportunities for events of a different kind too if the convenor sees a need.”
