Do you know a woman in business impacted by the recent bushfires in South Australia? The Women in Business Regional Network is extending its hand of friendship and support to fellow regional businesswomen by offering a number of complimentary 12-month memberships to the network.
It is hoped the memberships will provide women with the chance to gain support, collaboration, marketing and promotional opportunities to help get them back on their feet over the next 12 months.
Network founder Carolyn Jeffrey said she would be providing 10 complimentary memberships, and there had been interest shown from other businesses to also sponsor further memberships.
“Like many people I’ve felt quite helpless watching the tragedy take place and, like others I’ve donated in kind as well as money, but I know the impact of the fires will last long after the embers are extinguished,” Carolyn said.
“The network has a great track record since its formation of providing emotional and other support to its members when they’ve hit tough times economically, personally or healthwise, so I’m confident that same support could be of great assistance to those impacted by the fires.
“This is a way we can assist our fellow women in business not only now but for the next 12 months.”
Carolyn said it’s not just the business owners who’ve lost their premises or had stock damaged that will be impacted.
“Many of those who have suffered physical damage to their businesses will be covered by some sort of insurance,” she said.
“But there are many more businesses relying on them for an income as suppliers or supplementary businesses that can’t make any type of claim for the mental and economic damage they have and will likely suffer as a result.
“We want to welcome and help all those women in business in regional areas of SA who have been impacted either physically or otherwise.”
Anyone who would like to take advantage of the offer can complete an online application form by following this link – https://forms.gle/d7XXmKDCASz4nXsH6. Each application will be assessed against our criteria to ensure those who need it most receive support from within the network.
“If you know of a woman in business impacted by the fires please share the information with them,” Carolyn said.
