Marketing on a shoestring was the topic for the inaugural Women in Business Regional Network dinner at Goolwa on May 2.
A small but enthusiastic group of women from Victor Harbor and Goolwa came together at the Goolwa Aquatic Club to learn about cheap and free marketing opportunities for their businesses. The event was catered for by the Fleurieu Function Centre.
Network founder Carolyn Jeffrey provided a comprehensive overview of a range of marketing ideas including social media, editorial opportunities, sponsorships vs donations as well as how to use flyers to promote your business.
One aspect that was of particular interest was how businesses can tap into a range of free online promotional opportunities.
Carolyn, who is the owner of CJ’s Business Solutions, referred to her blogposts on the subject of online audits and how to improve performance on search engines without spending a cent (see below for link).
Further evening functions will be held in the future in Victor Harbor and Goolwa.
