What does your business do?
I founded Mind your Birth in 2016. I have had the amazing privilege of working with women and families as a midwife for over 30 years.
My experiences being with women have been many and varied and have underpinned the passion I have to support birthing women and families with quality, evidence based education and professional postpartum support.
Mind your Birth supports the pregnancy and birth journey by teaching women and birth companions HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Education. I have experienced the profound and amazing power of the use of hypnobirthing techniques during many beautiful births in my career as a midwife in both the hospital and birth at home. HypnoBirthing® teaches women to use their natural instincts to bring about a safer, easier, and positive birth experience
My purpose is to prepare women emotionally and physically, in mind and body, for an informed, empowered, calm and comfortable pregnancy and birth journey. I strive to inspire and empower women to become confident in their innate ability to give birth.
Mind your Birth also provides emotional, physical and professional support to new born mothers and babies during the early postnatal period. I strongly believe the postnatal period is a an intense transformation and time of significant growth for women and is one in which quality care and support enables a smooth transition to parenthood.

Name two things you’ve learned from your business journey: My business journey is really just beginning. I moved to the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in the middle of 2018 and am in the early stages of growing my business. The main things I have learnt so far is that the act of promoting a business requires a lot of skill plus a lot of self confidence and desire to succeed.
