What does your business do? The Parentmedic Movement is a social enterprise with a global mission to empower and educate parents about infant and child first aid. It is also a peak body for information on first aid. Personally, as a mum and health professional I am dedicated to supporting parents to take the scary out of parenting through hands-on training. I conduct my sessions privately in your own home or workplace. We cover a range of topics from CPR through to common childhood illnesses.
What area do you service?: Based on the Fleurieu Peninsula, but able to travel abroad
When did your business start? Brand new!
Do you own the business? No, I am a licensee.
Tell us about your business journey so far: I have been a paramedic for 8 years, and a mum for just over a year. There is such little support and information out there for new parents. I wish to empower parents so they know what to do when their little ones are sick or in a case of emergency. I want to help take the scary out of parenting.
What have you learned in business so far? It can be very overwhelming! Ask for help and most are willing to support and guide you.
Why did you join the network? I wish to get to know more local women, understand their journey, be surround by like-minded people and to receive help to be the best business woman that I can be.
